I was going over my car and noticed that there is a hole that seems like it should have some sort of connector in it. This is in the front of the car, at the bottom of the inner fender. The same hole is on both sides without anything in it.
Should there be a fastener there and if so, what is the part number? I have spent hours looking through the repair manual and the parts catalogues and have come up with nothing.
On our 2014 F, there is a horizontal spire nut attached to the (body-colored) front bumper. Looks as if it holds the gray trim 'lip' in place. Same small bolts that hold the gray piece to the underside of the bumper.
BUT, it is outboard of your circled piece. We have no hole or fastener on either side where your circle is.

Thanks for checking. Maybe it's something unique to the SVR front end?

First 2 passenger side - second 2 drivers side. 5/16 bolt. Definitely attaching the sacrificial gray lip
