The most beautiful cars on sale by Car and Driver
To me, it looks much better in-person than in photos...I thought the photos looks a bit hefty-hipped and bulgy in the rear (unlike the F-type, which looks muscular), but in-person
I would have picked it over the F-type...if I were ten years younger and not middle-aged. My wife will actually drive the F-type when I decide to share it
Just saw the 4C in person today at the dealership where it just arrived this afternoon. The only reason it hasn't been snatched up already is this dealer wants a $15k premium over MSRP. It *is* serial #36, but $15k is just greedy.

To be clear about my position on the list.
I went into the dealer in December 2013 and said, "I want to buy and Alfa. Start a list and put my name on it."
They said, "What's an Alfa?" (literally)
Three weeks later Sergio made a press release. I went back to my dealer and became number 15 on the list.
Nine months later, the list was 100 and I was Number One.
Then they got a car and I was, "How much are you willing to pay?" "Our list is over 130 and we have offers of $100,000 from buyers that have purchased two Ferrari's and a McLaren from us."
"Sell it them then, I won't go that high."
Three days later the car was still on their lot, tucked away out of sight. "Will you give us 90k? Your number one on our list."

I believe the ones in the Bay Area have been sold (I was in the market for a 4C originally, so I'm still on the 4C forums). One sold for $110k (no one knows to who, but it's believed to be a celebrity), and the other for $90k to one of the forum members. They didn't want to sell it at $90k, but AR will not allocate more cars to dealers until they sell what they have so they just wanted to sell it as quickly as possible. Here's the buyer's recount of his process:
Now that this thread is back up and current, I took another look at the top 10 and for my taste, I generally agree with the magazine (other than the Alfa) and most certainly the Ftype is a no-brainer. I really enjoy looking at the pictures of the F now that mine is covered and stored for the winter.
Happily the magazine is not influenced by the 'enviro' movement to the point of putting a tesa in the mix.. After seeing and 'not' hearing one recently they certainly lack passion.
Lawrence.

LOL..... this was funny since almost always that statement is lead by "it looked better in person" or "pics dont do this car justice"
I will be very interested when the new Acura NSX comes out (if it comes out? Where the hell is it?) as I have always loved that car and have owned two over the years. The car was always seriously down on power - and got knocked for lacking in passion - but take it from someone who had long experience and miles in it/them, it was (still is) a stunning*car in my opinion. Lacking in passion my a$$, the car looked and drove like a dream.

Acura announced an NSX successor nearly 9.5 years ago
Thanks again.

Most all of those cars are on my potential next car list (well, I had the R8, but I may go back to it).
I was on the wait list for the Alfa 4C, but the dealer (in VT) is a lower priority for corporate, so they didn't get many - will wait a year and see how it goes from there - not sure I could fit in it anyway.
The Lotus Evora is much improved (at least aurally) with a Larani exhaust (I am sure there are others, but that is the one I prefer) - curious if the Alfa would benefit as well. Difficult to get a throaty note out of a turbo 4cyl no matter what, but there are still variations in tone out there.
