Default Muffled Exhaust sound on a V8 between 3-4k RPM

Hey guys, new to this forum. I've got the V8 with active exhaust.

Was wondering if this is just my car or is normal.

When you lift of the gas pedal at any RPM, it pops and exhaust is fairly loud.
Notice though that when you lift of the pedal between 3000 and 4000 RPM, the sound sort of sounds muffled or much quieter, almost like the active exhaust button has been turned off.

Can you please give it a try and let me know? Don't want to do a trip to dealer for nothing.

thx

thx, I presume the exhaust notes are about the same, notice especially around 3300-3200 RPM, it becomes real quiet and at 2900 RPM it is loud again... Could be just normal tuning/anti drone/frequency thing...

I don't find it muffled. There is a bit of a lull between 3200-4200rpm but not that noticeable except if you turn Dynamic mode off then its very noticeable but I mostly drive in Dynamic and shift manually with paddles so I don;t have this experience.

I believe you're talking about acceleration. You are correct, there is no difference on acceleration. I'm talking about a small "muffledness" upon deceleration, specficaly in the 3200-3000rpm range

Ive tried to reproduce this in my v8s, but cannot. To be fair, im not sure I understand the problem. Sound seems perfectly linear.
