Default My F-Type V6-S arrived

Picked up my Sapphire Blue V6-S yesterday, took a quick snap, more pictures to come this weekend! Interior is jet leather sport seats w/ optional suede-cloth roof lining. Wheels are the 19" black diamond-cut Orbits. Seeing these rare wheels in person, I am very happy (and relieved) with the choice.

My former car was a 2007 XK. Impressions: the F-Type is much tighter than the XK, both in reflexes and ride. The F-Type is definitely a sport car, not a GT. As a matter of fact, I am a bit disappointed with the ride, it's really stiff and bouncy. I did turn off the suspension's Dynamic-mode which helps a bit, but I'm wondering if the suspension wasn't post-delivery prepped properly. I live far from the dealer so I can't just take it back, I will post that question here separately and see if anyone has ever encountered that problem on a Jag.

But boy does this car have physical presence. A passenger in another car leaned out of his window on the highway to snap a picture. And the exhaust is loud and rowdy when you want it to be. I will spend the weekend reading the owner's manual to set everything up and figure stuff out like the nav system, ambient lighting, etc.

How can I sum it up? The XK was sleek and classy. The F-Type is a hooligan!

From you-tube video reviews there has been some comments on the stiff ride. May be the sports car tuning and body structure.

Really nice colour, I believe its one of the Xirallic paint options. I recently saw a cute picture and joke on a Jeep Wrangler site that you might relate to when you first started the car.

Congrats! You might double-check the tire pressure. I love the ride - firm but not harsh.

Probably helps keep the tires round during transport so no flat spots develop. Dealer should have checked this before turining it loose.

Dremorg, I got the panoramic roof, the black diamond-cut Orbit wheels, the suede-cloth interior pack, and the performance pack. With the Sapphire Blue paint, the build came to $86,200. For a high end car I was always surprised it doesn't come with rear back-up sensors or automatic garage door opener. A camera chip and wiring costs $20, and 99% of Jag owners have garages. Come on Jaguar!

On a v6s, the backup sensors are part of the vision pack and the homelink system is part of the premium pack. Premium pack is standard on the R

Default Vision Pack

The vision pack comes with those wonderful automatic headlights which turn into the corners and auto-high beam dim the lights. One of my favorite options.
