Do you know when it got built? Just trying to crystallize the time between build and port.

I think they're all built at Castle Bromwich.

Mine should be about 2 weeks out. I confirmed that my dealer has received a 2016 AWD R Coupe, so port holds must be a thing of the past...

My RWD R has now been released from "quarantine" here in the UK and will arrive at my dealership some time late next week. Still no real clarity on exactly what this software issue and fix was all about, but expect to see the MY16 R's to start to rolling into dealerships soon.

Now I can start to get excited.

Congrats! When did you order? I'm not particularly pleased how deliveries are being handled, but at least someone is getting their car.

I'm sure dealers don't get paid till you guys take delivery. So I would think dealer would like to have all orders in yesterday! They probably have no say unless they are one of top volume dealers. I was once waiting for the'90 300z to come out and the dealer said 2 months and one came in the next day! At least they called me. When I was shopping for my last Merc no one had one except #1 dealer in US who had 4!

I ordered on November 19, got dealer's first allocation. The car left the factory on February 18 then waited until Feb 28 to be loaded, got to Port Hueneme, CA on March 25 where it sat until yesterday.

That makes me feel a little better. At least they're still filling November 19th orders.

I posted this on a uk site yesterday and hopefully worth sharing more widely.

As an unexpected update to this, I was travelling in a car yesterday morning on the main road between the Midlands (where the factory is) and the south coast (where I live). Overtaking a number of trucks etc, and then.....

This was a true OMG moment - you couldn't make it up. Thats my car!

Couldn't resist calling to check later in the day and yes, that's the one, now going through it's pre-handover process.

The Jaguar gods were shining on me yesterday.

Default Outstanding!

Is that Stratus or Ammonite? Hard to tell with the ambient lighting. Seems that in intense or fluorescent lighting, Stratus looks like static Ammonite. And, in turn, in intense or fluorescent lighting, Ammonite appears silver.

Hi - this is Ammonite. Weather at the time was a bit dull and cloudy, but get what you mean about the effect of light on these colours. The Ammonite colour sits between Stratus and Lunar, but has more depth and "sparkle" than the Lunar grey colour (which I also liked). I'll post some pics of the finished article next week. It does look really good in the real world, even on the back of a truck.
