Just some interesting info on sales for the beginning of 2015... Seems the F-Type is taking a little bite out of Porsche... (*** EDIT... These are strictly US sales numbers...)

And an interesting bit of Canadian info... "Jaguar's F-Type sold 65% more often in Canada in February 2015 than the Alfa Romeo 4C, Audi TT, BMW Z4, and Mercedes-Benz SLK combined."

Wow, that's astonishing. I'm both pleased and surprised.

Don't introduce more confusion to an already confusing subject by speculating and you won't get a snide response from me. That being said, also don't judge the community as a whole based on my comments alone. I assure you most people on this forum are wholehearted and decent even tho I may not be.

This is a confusing subject? Jaguar has a 1-800 number for any questions. Amazon sells helmets and safety goggles for the rest.

Although do sense the sarcasm, this IS a confusing subject for those of us with a 2016 AWD on order. We have been told many different things as to when we can expect delivery, as well as many reasons why there is a port hold on our cars. (Well, some of us haven't even been told there IS a port hold.)

I'm relatively new to the forums myself, but this is a GREAT place for information, and many of the members share what we find out. Sarcasm doesn't work well here for long, at least from what I have seen.

Give them a call, you'll find they don't know anything.

They know something. I found out about 'Storm Grey' being offered and a stand-alone brake package that isn't(wasn't?) on the website.

Unfortunately they haven't been very helpful in regards to 2016 Awd R deliveries! These cars have been stuck in port since the beginning of the month with no confirmed reason. Only speculation on when they might be released

In my experience this happens every time a new car is imported.

When the 2013 F10 M5 first came out there was a long port hold while the EPA completed testing to determine the EPA figures for the Mulroney and determine whether to apply a gas guzzler tax. This is the same thing.

After that some people got their cars, however within another 3 weeks there was a second port hold for a recall on the oil pump.

I suspect what you are seeing here is the EPA hold.

It also happens with US manufacturers as well. When the C6 Z06 was introduced in the fall of 2005 (2006MY), the first 100-200 or so cars with scheduled domestic delivery dates and waiting customers were shipped to a storage facility for about a month waiting for the resolution of a technical problem.

The Z06 section of the CorvetteForum was on fire to an even greater extent than seen here. I was waiting for one of the first ones too, which did ultimately make it on time (12/7/05).

Just talked to my dealer, car showed up last night. Prepping should be completed later today. So looks like I'm spending tomorrow morning signing paperwork!

Downside is my Expel guy can't get to it until Tuesday and the weather forecast calls for rain tomorrow. What to do??? Not sure if I have that much restraint!!

Your XPel guy is going to wash and "fix" your paint anyway, so go for it.

Dooooh!...I'm thinking of the CQuartz. Never mind!

I'd be surprised if it wasn't on the same truck! Maybe a stop in Toledo this morning and then Detroit? Nonetheless, I'm sure is it not far behind.

Its funny that your dealer didn't even know that it shipped to them... just kinda showed up one day. I couldn't be more frustrated with how poorly Jaguar handles this. With BMW i'd practically be able to see GPS coordinates of the car at a moments notice.

The last communication I had with dealer was on Tuesday night with the info that the cars had been released and he expected delivery Tuesday 4/7. I was a little surprised, thinking my car was one of the first to arrive and delivery shouldn't have required a whole week.
I called this morning to confirm that everything was on pace and that I could schedule the Xpel installation. Much to my surprise, the CA nonchalantly said it showed up last night.

I agree, my BMW was much easier to track, however I also had to to much of my own detective work as the CA at the BMW dealership was new and communicated poorly. I think it's just a trend most automotive sales staff, once they make the sale they lose interest quickly! Disappointing!!

Yup, i hear you. Surprisingly my dealership seems very interested in getting me my car, but cannot seem to get any information about it. I get emails a couple times a day saying nothing has changed.
