Now just wait until you get a VIN...

Then wonder where the heck your car is because you can't seem to track it...

The anticipation just keeps building!!!

Congratz!!!

Ahhh...the drama, the intrigue!! Isn't that why we're paying the big bucks.
How long after entering the order did it take to get the VIN and a more specific build date?

I can't fairly answer that question. When I ordered mine, I modified an order the dealer already had entered as inventory. It only took me a few weeks to get a build date, and a week later to get my VIN.

Lance, you need to talk to the dealer on this one. Depends when she/he can slot the car into the mfg. schedule, then you'll have the build date. You then get the VIN when the car starts production during the build week.

And I personally won't start making plans for a driving trip to the US until I have the VIN as I don't trust JLR on dates.

Finally found my car again! This time she's loaded on vessel. Should be leaving port today! No more "returned to shipper"!

According to email from my dealer this morning, the port holds on the 2016 R Coupes have been removed...

Hopefully you guys will be getting your babies very soon!

I hope you're right, I'd love to get some confirmation of this. I just emailed my dealer.

I'm not holding my breath, but hope they release by first in first out.

My MY2016 R Coupe has arrived at Port Hueneme, CA. However, I was told, while the RWD 16s have been released, there isn't a release date yet for AWD vehicles.

Have you received confirmation/feedback from your dealer? I have not been able to connect with mine to confirm.

Both jaguar N.A and my dealer said they've heard nothing yet. So still no set release date.

Somebody is getting theirs. I drove a 2016 V6-S at Rusnak in Pasadena yesterday. I think they had 3 in stock.

Did they have 3 AWDs in Stock? As I understand it was only the AWD that were (or are) held at port.

I can't confirm it, but I think one is a V8, which would necessarily be AWD. There was a cover over one and couldn't get a look at it.

They have 3 2016s on their website. 1 base model and 2 S models, and we can assume they were all RWD since Jaguar said those were released. Lets try to keep the guessing games to a minimum.
