I called them, thats a mistake on the website. Its a 2015 model listed as a 2016. They don't expect any 2016's till late April/May which is what every dealer on the west coast has told me so far.

Well, now I am thoroughly confused and disappointed...

I assumed my 2016 was loaded and on its way. However, when I checked today...

My sincerest condolences. It may have sustained some damage on its way from the assembly plant to the port or the quality system picked up on some shortcomings in the manufacture.

Update: DuhCar found the following thread over on NAM:

Returned to shipper?? - North American Motoring

Hopefully, the boat just ran out of room.

I suspected that might be the case. They hadn't opened yet when I called them this morning.

Just talked to my dealer, and although he doesn't know why my car was listed as "returned to Shipper", he did confirm the 2016 AWD were being held at port, and I was told that it was for a software update. According to him, the cars have been certified, and the only hold up is a software flash.

Further confirmation no one knows anything for sure.

Jaguar N.A. and my dealer both called today confirming late April release of the vehicles from the port. Jaguar N.A. Said they were pressing to try to release sooner. My guess is they are quoting worse case, but I'm not holding my breath. Don't expect my car till around May 1.

Sounds in line with what I was told. I am still expected to take delivery 4/24...

That's what so frustrating with this whole ordeal! This was supposed to be a exciting and pleasurable experience. Yet Jaguar has completely taken the enjoyment out ordering a new car. It's not necessarily the fact they are delaying the release, it's the complete miscommunication! If they had told me from day one or even as late as the build date that delivery would be mid-late April, I'd have been fine. But to have multiple delivery dates and then be told "sorry, not going to happen and we're unclear why" is infuriating.

I find it difficult to believe that this delay wasn't foreseen, and shame on Jaguar for not communicating it better.

I sure hope it's worth the aggravation!

Not much sympathy here, guys. They announced these cars (and my order placed with the dealer) back in November last year and I won't see mine until July or August. First order call was originally promised on February 6. Now, it's pushed back to May 18.

All good things are worth waiting for.

Seeeeeeeee but technically you haven't ordered yours yet, since they haven't opened up the system for ordering manual transmissions... so really you'll wait less time than us

Drat.... you caught me!

Well, since my dealer most recently had promised me an end of March order entry, I called to get his current story: "The order call came in yesterday. I'll call you in 20 minutes after I enter the order." No call for 2 hours. So I stop by the dealer on my way home. "I was just going to call..we have your order number!" I'm still a bit leery and the manager offers to show me the entered configuration. Plain as day, it specifies AWD. "I thought you wanted AWD" He wouldn't believe me and took a quick look at the file. "Oh, that's a quick fix to change it to a 6speed. I'll just do this and this and........, uhh, sorry my computer froze up. I'll go take care of this on another computer and email you your order number to you."

Anybody taking bets?

Why would I bet against the obvious fact that they are not very well informed. Worse yet, they think BS works.
