Starting a new thread to track MY 2016 deliveries. I'm still skeptical that any 2016's will be delivered in March, but here's hoping I'm wrong.

tbh, May is when I'm expecting to see these cars in showrooms around the country. I really hope I'm wrong and Jaguar ships them to customers (atleast the ones already built) in March and April.

I spoke to one of the biggest Jag dealers in California and they are expecting their first allocations in May/June.

 

Just got my VIN and the build date was changed to 3/11/2015... Delivery was moved up to 4/24/2015.

 

That date was the date the dealer put in his order for his allocation. I actually didn't put down a deposit until Feb 22, just before the order was about to be locked in.

It's a smaller dealer, yes. The largest dealer in the area (a pretty big one at that) had used all their allocations up until the next delivery expected was in July.

I'm not sure why you think they'll show up in May and not this month... The cars are already in the country and I'd be surprised if Jaguar would tell the dealership they don't expect my car to arrive until 3/28 instead of 3/20 if they didn't think the cars would ship by then.

 

Well, my Car is in port in Southampton being loaded on the FAUST. It's scheduled to be unloaded in port in Georgia on 4/1/2015.

I really HOPE it doesn't take until 4/24 to get the car from Atlanta area to Dallas...

Did you find out this info on your own, or through the dealership?

Looks like you're going to beat me - I've been monitoring my vin thru the W&W track & trace site, but keep getting "no records found"

 

My dealer told me my delivery had been moved up to 4/24 as of last week, AND he said they are usually pretty conservative. I just found my VIN on the W&W site for the first time about an hour ago. The ship is headed into port to pick up my baby.

I wonder how they transport from Atlanta to Dallas.... Rail or Tractor Trailer...

 

Hmm... Interesting news. I recently actually taught my dealer how to track the incoming cars. I just got the following back from him...

"Hey Matt,

That is pretty cool. I meant to email you but I logged in yesterday afternoon and tracked a few of our incoming cars. I also can’t believe about the insurance! I’ve heard from my clients that the F-Type is pretty reasonable to insure so I’m glad that’s your experience as well. They are holding all 2016’s at port right now but that shouldn’t be the case when your car arrives. I’ll keep you posted."

 

Yes. Figure two or three days at the port, then it's loaded onto truck or train (dealer should know which). Then say a week to get to Dallas, then a day or two to dealer and prep. My bet is earliest April 13, maybe April 15 at the latest.
