Default Need Help Identifying Under Hood Fastener

My 2018 R-Dynamic has rubber covers on the top of the inner fender on each side of the engine.. Each one is attached with two push in fasteners. One of the fasteners on the driver's side of mine is missing. I called the dealer and even sent them the attached photo. They ordered the part. Well, it looks nothing like the other three fasteners. The top of it was only about 1/4 inch wide and it had a Torx head on it.

I was at the dealer for half an hour working with the parts person. They took more photos of my car. We looked for another similar F-Type at the dealer, but there were none around. They are contacting Jaguar in the UK to sort this all out.

Does anyone know if my missing fastener (where the hole is) should be the same as the others?

Also might anyone have a part number for it? It appears the part number the dealer has on their schematic is wrong.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If the dealer cannot find it...It is unlikely anyone here is going to have a part #. That said, this is nothing special. It is a piece of rubber flap, held in place with a Ribbed Push In Rivet like the one below.

Easiest solution, is to pull one of the others out, and go to any auto parts or home improvement center and match it up. You can also buy sets of hundreds of different sizes for ~$15-20. Very simple.

The dealer came through for me and found the part before I had a chance to order any fasteners elsewhere. They felt bad that I had to make two trips for the part and that I had to open my hood three or four times while they checked on the part and took photos.

They comped me the part and also gave me two Jaguar coffee mugs for my troubles. I was definitely not expecting that.

That is great. Did they happen to give you the part# they found? If so, you can post here to help others in the future...

BTW...If I ever lose one...I am using a generic plug

I did get the part number! It is C2S51629. The description is "Rivet - Plastic".

This part looks exactly like the photo that TheRock88 posted above. It does not look like the part shown in the parts diagram. The sides are ribbed.

This is not the first time I have come across an F-Type part that does not look like the picture in the JLR parts diagram.

Hopefully they get you the correct item. I agree the image does not look right, but many times I think they get lazy with the drawings and keep them simple. But who knows?
