Us 'Mericans need to translate that date to 12/2/2019, lest we think this is from February.

What are talking about a new F-type, more like the unveiling of a new set of front lights and rear lights

Ours is the opposite. I let a domain lapse once thinking that 1.4.12 was 1 April, I couldnt understand why the warning emails were so excited over Christmas.

Let's hope they didn't change the engine too. If they did its a little bit of false advertising using the old engine sound when a BMW twin turbie would sound more like a old lady farting into a pillow.

If they are smart it would be a return to 2014-16 styling but with the ZF8HP90 so they/we can tune the existing engine above 700nm/516 ft-lbs.

I can dream.

The car in that 2 sec video sure sounds like the existing AJ133SC V8 to me.
The JLR deal with Ford to build the AJ133 and AJ126 was originally slated to end in December 2020 and I've not seen any reports of this date changing.
Putting those two things together I am betting the facelift F-Type will continue with the AJ133 and AJ126 for the time being.
My next prediction is that JLR will offer the Beemer V8 and the Ingenium I6 leccy turbo in September 2020 (start of the next build cycle / model year), in parallel with the AJ133 and AJ126 for a few months before they are phased out.

ingenium 6 won't fit in xe and f-pace, it's a fair bit longer than the v8 which is already a tight fit even in the f-type

this is the reason we will only see a 4 banger in xe and f pace (excl. svr) moving forward

keen to see how new front end looks, it's tough with these facelifts as more often than not, they new corporate look doesn't tend to gel with rest of the hard points which can't be changed for cost reasons

i was hoping we'd see a twin screen console, but spied test mules has pretty much killed that idea

edit: from video looks like the digital cluster is a go

Well, it is what they are playing through the speakers...

Why?!

The most enjoyable part of driving classic cars at night is amber glow of an incandescent bulb illuminating all-analog cluster. All these screens, with no exceptions, emit too much light at night.

Hey I have an idea. Lets refresh the F-Type by cutting its heart out and replacing it with a piece of dog poop.

I am sure it will look good. But it will look like an XE or XF from the front but in sports car form. The F-type we are used to has had completely different front styling to all other Jaguars in this generation. That’s what made it stand out. But we will see.

You can see what it will look like from the screensaver renders they provided with the latest InControl Touch Pro update from a couple of weeks ago. They are in the p8 disk image file. I won't post them all here as they are quite large images, so here are just a few that show the exterior changes:

The hood and rear are different, the slimmer lights, side vents, front bumper and grilles (the main one appears to now have F-TYPE written on it?)

Thank you for posting these. Are there any images of the interior in the file?

I admit, it looks better then the original. The 'family face' with the open grille is more 'F-Pace' now.

Looks good. As I have been expecting it looks like the XE from the front. The rear, I think I prefer the one that exists right now. I don’t know about the front bumper. Too much of an XE maybe.

To be honest, I bought a new AWD R last week, and for the forseeing of what will come. I will not like the BMW motor, I never liked BMW even as I am from Europe.
It was for me always a pimp car, and just the motor will increase price and decease sound. But also (If it confirms) I will not like the new head lights, as it looks like a bad copy of the Audi TT.
Sure not Porsche because they are very steady in their front light design. This is a bad thing to transform a Europe car into a far eastern car, no understanding if it will be confirmed on 02/12.

I bought a 2016 R AWD Coupe yesterday. I like both designs. This and mine.

Also concerning the open grill. I just ask myself how and where you want to fix the number plate ? There are some rules for this and if you have no middle part
anymore, I have no idea. The rules around Germany and middle Europe are very strict on this issue.
