+1. Example: The Mustang II Mach I. Literally, the only difference was black paint on the bottom edge of the car and a logo on the rocker panels. You'd have to pay someone to own that car today.

In 'banger' racing you loose pennies. With a fender bender with the F-Type you could stand to loose
serious money. OK, its cheaper to repair then a Ferrari, but still. Can you insure this ?
You can insure it and indeed body panel parts are extremely expensive. Money does not get in the way of having fun however as long as it's within reason, and that's subjective

Filming road-going cars in race conditions is a big no-no. This is how owners can get in trouble with denied coverage and warranty work. So you just don't do it. Maybe with exception of in-cabin footage using go-pro and even then it is still considered bad form to upload anything that clearly shows other cars on the track.

OK. I didn't have a clue. I think this is not done in the Nehterlands. Nearest option is 'Touristenfahrten' on the Nordschleife...

Given that FType17 was discussing class racing, and the amount of modification he has been allowed to undertake, it is unlikely that any of these cars (particularly his) are still covered under warranty.

I'd run one in LeMons in a heartbeat. It exemplifies the highest pretensions of the Malaise Era.

Or, I'd be the hero of the trailer park. Either way, winning!

I think we barely dodged another Malaise Era with EPA's fuel economy standards. Thankfully, it got rolled back.
