New F-type Coolant level low warning light
Hey
I have a 2023 F-Type P450 with very low miles, 3k, and the red coolant level low warning light just came on. I have it under warranty but does this mean that theres likely a leak given that the car is almost brand new. Would anyone recommend I just top off the coolant or take it in for service? Thanks in advance.

Do NOT, REPEAT, NOT drive the car until you have refilled the coolant tank. You do not want to risk over- heating the engine! Obviously as you have been told, check to see where the leak may be. You have warranty coverage for this issue but again, do not even drive it to the dealer until the fluid level has been corrected.

Use a black UV light to detect the fluorescent coolant leak in the dark. Look at the rear firewall around the coolant tank. Look under the supercharger as well. If there's a significant leak, have it towed to the dealer as you are still under warranty.
If negative, top it up, monitor coolant temp using an OBD2 reader while driving, and take it to the dealer for a pressure test.
This is the "Achilles Heel" of the JLR engine and may result in complete engine loss, most recent case from the UK:
