New Jaguar owner with maintenance question
#21
My car currently has 104k miles. It had a coolant system service done at the dealer at 64k miles.
I've reviewed this thread and have a couple of questions.

Can someone please shed more light on this for me? Is this part included in this kit?

This should include the oil cooler gasket and little pipe that goes to it from the WP. Manifold pipe, WP. Y Pipe and thermostat housing, overflow pipe and reservoir. You may want to do a radiator, have the shop check for cold spots. Do the belts because they have to come off to do the other work anyway. Do the plugs. It’s not the plugs that you need to worry about, it’s the plugs being seized in the heads. I’d also do a drop and fill of the transmission fluid (NOT A FLUSH)."
I'm going to have the transmission fluid changed and the spark plugs and the belts. Also the engine air filters and the cabin filter.
Can someone tell me if the cooling system upgrade kit includes the:
oil cooler gasket
little pipe that goes to it from the WP
manfold pipe
Y Pipe
thermostat housing
overflow pipe
reservoir
I know the water pump is not included. Is it recommended to change that now?
Does the reservoir need to be changed?
Same with the radiator?
I'm asking because I don't want to replace parts that are good now, just because they might go bad someday. I only want to do the work that needs to be done so I don't have a catastrophic failure and lose an engine. Or, I will also do work and change parts that are likely to go bad someday and at the same time are MUCH more accessible and less expensive to change now because of the work that is being done to change the Y-pipe under the SC.
I just don't want to overdo it. Know what I mean?
Thanks in advance for any info.
Greg

@BaxterJag, here is the hose in question listed by SNG Barratt:

The part may be VIN-specific, so check if the part has been superseded for correct fitment.
In my personal experience, it's better to do the job once, and do it fully as the labour is expensive to take things apart again just to replace a part that could have been replaced with the set. In for a penny, in for a pound as we used to say.
