Default New Led grille lights installed.. yay or nay?

Hey Guys/Gals,

I just joined this forum today (didn't know it existed)...
I picked up my Type R AWD in late October and I can't say one bad thing about it!
Anyways, I am ready to start doing little things here and there..
Hence I started out with:
Tints (20%)
Smoked the Tail lights
and I just got these red LED lights installed into my grill...

just wondering what other's opinions are about it?

Thanks and look forward to chatting with everyone!

That colour would be illegal in Florida. Not my taste, too ricer, but it's not my car. What counts is if you like it.

Default Wow, I thought I was liberal

Honestly, I put that in the same category as a set of gold teeth in someone's mouth. Not the right fit for a Jag, trying to think what car it would work with. Trust me, if I think it's too much, it may be.

At the very, very least, change the red to white and see if the look may work for say a high tech set of fogs. Red grill, afraid not.

Not my taste at all, but as others have stated, different strokes. I look at this and think there is a "fireplace" behind the grille. Once again, perception and look is an art.

Hope you continue to enjoy the mods and the car!

You need the underbody neon kit as well. I don't like it, but I don't have to as long as you do.

When you look at the photos it appears as though the front nose of the car has a face and it's either smiling and or laughing. Not good because this look takes away from the cars aggressive meanness appearance. It looks like a big lip stick smiley face.
Ask if the store will give you credit for returning the item. Honest !

Yep, this would get you a ticket in California.
No exterior lights except stock OEM, and colored lights such as Red of Blue are highly frowned upon.

The constabulary here in the People's Republik would empty their pens writing you tickets for that.

Not my taste either.

agree with the majority. I used to be all about the LED lighting, but not sure how it would look all done meaning wheel wells and underneath. If you like it then that's all that matters, but here in Jersey I would never be able to drive with them on and only for off-road or shows. I had clear LED white lights and cops would pull me over and give me tickets stating imitating police vehicle. WTF? Is that even a rule?

CTown,

Where you from in NJ? Palisades Park?

Welcome to our band of misfits! As you can tell, people here hold back and can't express their true feelings....not! Regarding the red LEDs in the grille, it's already been said by everyone. However, I think that flame orange LEDs in the side vents that modulate brightness or pulse rate based on engine rpm would be cool.

Hey there and welcome aboard, love the car, very envious.
She looks awesome especially from the rear / side angles, I love the front profile too but am not a fan of the LED's in the grille.

In all honesty I truly think it cheapens the car, just my opinion of course.

As always though, your car, your money and ultimately your choice, as long as you like it that's all that matters.
Best

Jim
