Default New Nissan Z

I just saw some shadow pictures of Nissan's new Z car on-line. Did they hire Ian Callum?

And then added some awkward swoops, indentations and air pockets. An F-Type designed by a committee who agreed on nothing. The original is always best.

The 250/370Z always looked like the F Type but it came before the F Type. When it first came out I thought the front of the F was almost a direct copy of the Z. I dont think we can complain too much if they return the favour with the rear (as it seems), after all imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

I had a 07 350Z, with full catless exhaust, CAI and tuned, very aggressive track alignment and over 15 track days. while it didn’t have the best power it was such a reliable car that really held its own on the track. That being said I can’t wait to see what Nissan has in store for the new Z.

Ferrari introduces the next model when they haven't finished filling orders for the current one. They almost start showing up on European streets almost immediatly. I watch a site caled AutoGespot which has dozens of new photos every day.

This looks goes all the way back to Datsun 240z/Nissan S30.

The Ferrari pics remind me much more of the old Corvette lines.

What I don't get is how Nissan can make a good looking car like the Z when the rest of their range is so dreadfully ugly ...

The 280Z was a nice car back then. Wish I still had it.

My second car was a 260z also in the same green, my friends called it the grasshopper. So many good times in that car, did my first clutch replacement and brake job on that car.
Unfortunately I let my girlfriend borrow it and she totaled it 😩

I had a lot of Z cars including my first new car in 1971. Liked all of them except the slow one,'87. I'm just glad someone is making a sports car.

I never thought about that, I do like the looks of the GTR as well but everything else Nissan makes is ugly your right. However infinite’s got it down. Particularly the Q60 coupe.

The new Z render stick pretty much to how the 240/260/280 with a more modern take. I honestly think this might save Nissan from bankruptcy. For the matter on copying, look at the Ferrari Roma, it's screaming Ian Callum(Old Vanquish, F type) with weird lines.

That’s the odd thing about Nissan. The 280Z was a classic in styling, handling and just pure fun. The 300s didn’t do much for me because they seemed so poorly built in terms of fit and finish. I’ve owned over 12 Infiniti’s and the late 2000s G37s we great. The Q60 has a nice shape but the steering is awful and dead. They have not update the line up except for minor cosmetics in many years and the new redesigns aren’t due till 2023. They are stale and have lost their way. When the killed the AuRouge project they gave up a lot of good momentum. This new Z may look good on the outside but they better have done a lot to the under the bonnet side.....and that does not mean stealing from Mercedes which Infiniti did with several cars in their lower end range,
