Default New R to me

I spent a lot of time attempting to locate an F-Type R that I could/would purchase. I love the car and was certain that I would. One thing is for certain, people either really get that car or they just don’t. One of the only things that has jumped out at me while driving this great machine is the wheel seems so small. Mine is a 2019. I notice that I have gotten so use to the larger steering wheels that it almost feels like I do not have enough to hold onto. Does that make sense to anyone? I would prefer to install the flat bottom fuller sized wheel. Has anyone done that swap would love to know. Thx much

Yep, a few months ago I swapped out the stock/original "round" steering wheel for an OEM sports/flat bottomed wheel with zero problems.
Although I didn't do it myself I had a shop do it.
The new steering wheel is sooo much better, better to look at and better feel in the hands.
One reason for that is the leather on the old wheel had become very shiny and smooth/slippery while the leather on the new wheel is much more matte in look and texture.
While the new wheel is a little thicker than the old wheel (partly due to the thumb grips) it doesn't look or feel any bigger/fuller to me than the old wheel did.
I will measure both and come back soon with those measurements.

Edit:
And I'm baaaack!
As I suspected both wheels have the exact same measurements, 370 mm across (from outer edge to outer edge across the middle of the spokes) and 110 mm thick (circumference at the top/12 o'clock position).
Both measurements a little rough but close enough for this purpose, it proves that both wheels are the exact same size other than for the thumb grips and flat bottom on the "sports" wheel.
