Are the "new" replacement diffs any better?
I have a 2015 V6S RWD 39,000 miles - rear diff is failing - loud growl when turning at slow speeds and confirmed by indy mech. The diff was serviced - oil drain and refill - about 10,000 miles ago. Are people who have had replacement diffs installed either under warranty or out of pocket finding the new ones lasting any longer than the original parts? Hate to shell out $6500 for a new one and have it fail again.
@Jberry20 As far as F-Types go, there are some issues with the V8 electronically controlled diffs showing premature oil fouling and wear, but not much discussion about the rebuilt units from Jaguar (which come at a pretty penny, >$5k)
The V6 (and presumably the 4 cylinder cars) don’t seem to have any differential issues. (Although I do see some premature oil fouling on the V6S limited slip diff)
We don’t see much discussion on “rebuilt” or “replacement” diffs from Jaguar, but we do see used rear axle units being picked up on eBay motors that seem to work ok.

Just a thought...the rear needs a slightly different fluid than the front and if one doesn't use the right fluid bad things can happen....do you have the receipt from your 10k service....if they used the wrong fluid by mistake....not sure if you can blackstone the current stuff at this point but if it "missing" the special stuff the rear needs you might have a case to make to get a free rear diff. Have seen this error - paddock conversations at PCA HPDE's in the past...happens. Even at dealers.
