new SD-navigation card need to be activated?
hi,
my navigation system (model 2016) has sometimes read errors when calculating a new route.
I first thought i can get an actual nav-update but this comes on USB stick so the SD card stays the same.
On ebay.co.uk there are a lot of used SD cards i.e. "FK72 10E898 AF" (mine is ..AA) .
Can i simply replace them or do a jaguar dealer has to activate the card to my car?

I believe each SD card is tied to the VIN number, so an eBay card may not work in your vehicle. You can update your card through jaguar, https://jaguar.welcome.naviextras.com
this may correct the problems. If you are worried about the original card, get a new SD card and copy disk first. This way you will end up with an updated map on a new card
