Default Newbe Oil Change Question

This will be an easy one I think. I haven't used the Mityvac oil change method before. Do you connect directly to the tube in the center of the engine oil fill opening, or do you snake the Mityvac hose down the tube?

Thanks!

I think the question is better stated as,

"Do I firmly connect the tube to the outside of the metal one under the oil fill cap?"

YES

"Or do I use a tiny tube pushed into the INSIDE of the metal tube?"

NO

D'oh! I misread the original question as "use the tube, or snake a tube down separately."

And make sure you have a nice tight seal around the extraction tube otherwise the pump doesn't work properly.

Much appreciated! I will try to be more clear next time, but your expectations should remain low!
