Loving the new ride and most things have worked themselves out (or I've penetrated the fog that persists about my cranium), but here are a few items on which I'd appreciate some advice:
First off, the yellow lines that are available in the backup camera seem to require activation each time reverse is selected. The lines do not appear after the car has been put in drive and then back in reverse or when the car is first started. I can't find a setting that allows for the lines to show any time reverse is selected. Is this the way it's suppose to work or am I doing something wrong? I would like the lines to show any time reverse is engaged without having to push the soft key once the rear view appears.

The second question I have relates to playing music that I've loaded onto my Galaxy S8. The phone is paired to the Jag and some times the music will play and other times I have to start the Play Music app. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when it plays without further action and when it doesn't. Any ideas?

Lastly, does anyone know if there are any downsides to applying Rain-X to the panoramic roof?

Oh, is there any way to change my username, screen name--whatever it's called? My palsied fingers inadvertently added an "l" to fujicoupe thus making it appear as though I am or possibly could be part/half of a couple, a condition I avoid like the plague.

 

I've just put all my music on a short USB like this:
& leave it in full time.
It's super short & stays full-time in the compartment without getting in the way...

 

`I'll answer the 2 questions that need the least research:
1. Rain-X can be used without issue on the pano roof, though worrying about visibility through the roof panel while you are driving may be contraindicated.

Thanks, I thought of that, but I don't really want to work around something that should be readily available. What's more, the thumb drive method would necessitate an additional update any time music was added or deleted from my phone.

 

Haha. And I thought the self-driving feature would take care of things as I gazed at the sun, moon and stars whilst cruising through the nearby residential areas at a modest 80 or 90 MPH. Really, I find the Rain-X just keeps the glass cleaner and easier to clean.
