They will need to be gapped, to about 0.035 to start.

The jury is still out on this, see post #10 in this thread and the linked post/thread in it.
From what I can gather, in general with a forced induction motor there is no need to go up a heat range on the plugs, for example from 7 to 8, until you tune it for 100 hp+ more than stock. If VAPs figures are to be believed, their tune and crank pulley on the base V6 takes it from 335 hp to somewhere around 440 hp, so over the magic 100 hp increase. But this motor already has relatively "cold" heat range 7 plugs, and based on this logic the 375 hp "S" motor with the VAP pulley & tune doesn't need colder plugs but the base V6 does, which of course is nonsense!
The only way to answer this question for sure would be detailed long term testing of 7 and 8 plugs on a range of F-Type V6s at various levels of tune, until then we would just be guessing.

Base model:

-Engine Power Source- 340/450
-LESS Engine Cooling System

V6S:

OK I know what this means now.

For "Hot Climate Markets" there is an auxillary radiator which is mounted down low, in front of the main radiator.

And there is also a different radiator fan for V6's in Hot Markets (the same fan as the V8) the V6's in non-Hot Markets have a weaker fan by the looks.

It's not a case of V6S has better cooling than V6, it's the market specification of the car.

If your car starts dumping fuel into the exhaust to cool down the cats, that's a pretty good sign for starters. That's where i'm at right now with stock plugs. May require some additional cooling methods as well based on the power i'm making.

I figured as such but both build sheets are based in Los Angeles. I'm not sure if there's a rhyme or reason on certain cars getting the aux radiator despite being in the same market.

Thanks for the info Cambo.

As discussed in another thread, I have been running without my engine cover until I get around to modifying it and the vents. Nothing empirical, just hoping it runs cooler.

Looking forward to seeing some results on the plugs.

According to NGK's site part number ILKAR8H6 has a heat range of 8. So what would the part number be for a 9. ILKAR9H6?

My bad, sorry. Was trying to copy the oem part numbers and copied that from the wrong post by mistake.

So the ILKR6C-10 with a gap of ~1mm has a heat range of 6, correct? And if so what would be the part number of that plug or equivalent with a gap of 1mm in heat range of 7 be?

Thanks! So this has otherwise got the exact same physical dimensions as the factory plug, correct?

From what Unhngd has said, the headers didnt really give much of a perfomance boost and the amount of work to get them R&R'd was costly. To do it for the sake of having another bad-*** custom piece is the approach best taken in regards to the headers.

It's doing it all the time? I understood that in addition to the Marketing aspects, the F-type engine map did this on overrun to help cool the exhaust valves.

This isn't at overrun. This is occurring at WOT above 6200 rpm. The cats are getting too hot and the car starts dumping fuel to cool them, making the car run very rich and creating a noticeable loss in power. Happened during my best run at the strip last weekend; felt like I hit a wall where it suddenly stopped accelerating until I shifted. Doesn't happen every time you hit the throttle, only when the cats get heated too far, like when drag racing.

Well the stock plug in the 5.0L is ILKAR6C10 or ILKR6C10

Actually is it turns out you can also get an ILKAR7C10, NGK 94940 https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=33734 which is absolutely identical just one heat range cooler. NGK even lists the Jags for fitment on their website.

I don't know what the difference is between ILKAR7C10 and ILZKAR7A10, if any.

Thats good info Cambo! On another topic, what do you guys think of meth kit or water/meth kit? That lowers IAT and cylinder header temperature as well. Probably need the ECU to go higher in octane rating/advanced timing to make it work well.

Any other Jaguar platforms with meth kit history? Thanks
