NGI/NLI
Just trying to ascertain which system I have. Car built January 2017, 380W Meridian, SD card for maps and can pinch the display. Is there a difference between NGI and NLI ? Thanks.
There was chat on another site about CarPlay which is supposedly coming to Jaguar and with it waze.
Quote from a dealer was that it could be retrofitted to NLI systems. I’m as sceptical as anyone about Jaguar retrofitting anything but mildly hopeful that it could happen.

NGI is not so abstruse. Jaguar website explains it stands for JLR's Next-Generation Interface, now called InControl Touch Infotainment System. Perhaps this ugly phrase will morph into the acronym ICTIS which the illiterati will probably believe to be the Greek god of communication.
