Default Nick on the wheel

Hello all,
Had a small run in onto a sidewalk. I dont see any tiny fractures other than the obvious scrape. The rubber on the tire also has a small tear but that too is not deep (its more of a 2 cm slice of the rubber)

Is this of any concern? I have a long road trip coming up so wanted to be sure. Any suggestions/tips would really help.
Thank you!

Personally, I wouldn't take any chances; it's just not worth the risk. That tires sidewall appears to be compromised sufficiently that I would absolutely get it replaced (highly doubtful it can be, or even should be, repaired). The wheel can easily be repaired by a good wheel shop...even those who come to you.

Good luck.

Do not go on a road trip on that tire!

If you do decide to take a long drive rather than getting the tire replaced, I'm sure there will be quite a few people interested in a cheap salvage title of whatever model F-Type you're driving.

Live a little - superglue the tire, get the rim repaired. Don't be a wuss.

Don't laugh, but I've done exactly that not once but twice!
Each time there was a largish slice/nick in the rim protector part of the tyre and a bit of gutter rash on the rim (not as bad as the OP's), and close inspection of the slice/tear in the rubber showed that it hadn't penetrated anywhere near the structural part (so the rim protector sort of did it's sacrificial job, otherwise the damage to the rim would have been much worse). I simply superglued the torn bits back down, and unless you knew exactly where to look you would never know.

Coincidentally when I bought my car 5 months ago from the dealer (pre owned 2015 with 6300kms) it had the exact same tire/rim issue on the exact same rim. Mine wasn't nearly as bad however as part of the purchase they agreed to fix it. They said the tire was fine and had the rash on the rim fixed EXCEPT they painted an area about 6 inches wide with flat black paint! Needless to say I was pissed as the rims are gloss. They promised to fix it again when I decide to bring it back. Anyway thanks for letting me rant

I had the same issue before I picked my car up. Wheel and tyre where badly scuffed by previous owner. I insured it was changed and swapped the other for new too. Don't do uneven tyres.
