Default No Tornado wheels on 2016 R?

Hi there!

I'm in the process of finding the perfect F-Type for me and I've fallen in love with the Polaris White, Black Pack, Tornado Wheels combination I saw on an S coupe, but sadly per the configurator and the brochure book from the dealer they don't offer the Tornado wheels on the R?

Is that right? It seems crazy to me that the only black wheels on the R are the blade (which are quite nice, but not for me).

You can always purchase them later. For example, I purchased a set of OEM wheels here, and they list both front (20 x 9) and and rears (20 x 10.5), $2300 for a set.

Beats me why they dont offer the choice of any of the wheels that will fit with whichever brake package comes on the car. Seems to make no sense and is unnecessarily restrictive. I think the UK configurator gives a much wider choice (for UK customers).

Yeah, aftermarket may be the way to go. It's super frustrating to not have all the options that would fit available. The dealer is also suggesting if I find one that aren't black that I like they could have them powder coated for me, but I've no experience with powder coating and not really sure what to think about that idea.

Ugh, you're right! I just checked the UK configurator and the wheels I want are an option!

Powder coating is a great option and will produce a finish as durable as any factory coating and much more durable than some.

Jaguar doesn't do the black cyclone anymore? That's what I have on my 2015 R.

Nope, not on the 2016 R if you are in the US. Only options with standard braking is blade, gyrodyne, and rotor. With ceramic brakes you can get storm.

But, no cyclone and no tornado.
