Has a firm date been set yet for this event?

Pushed to Spring 2019. I contacted a few places in the Bay Area, Napa and Santa Cruz and was not able to secure enough rooms during early November. After that, I didn't even try with Thanksgiving, Christmas. I'm selfishly waiting until I get a better look at my Spring schedule to set another date. I'd like to avoid the rains, but we don't want to go too far into the prime season.

I do plan on making a couple of 'scouting trips' that I will post as open invites. The scouting trips will be to check routes and possibly get some face time with a hotel or two, if needed.

Hopefully I still have my car at that time.

There is a jag.org (Jaguar Associates group) meet up with South Cal in Spring 2019. They are looking at a potential down RT1, stay over at Hearst Lodge/Castle, etc. It was announced at the meeting on Saturday.

Bringing this back to life. I'd like to propose to start small...A meet up somewhere nice in NorCal. I've looked around a little and the following place has offered a red carpet experience, and I think would be a great place to get a bunch of F-Types together for lunch.

VALLEY OF THE MOON | WINES CRAFTED IN SONOMA VALLEY

It's in Sonoma off highway 12 and would be a great springboard to many other places. For those that prefer a bolder beverage, Lagunitas has expressed a willingness to host a group, too.

So what do you all say? Late April or early May? Just a day trip, but if people would like to make it something more, feel free to add on. I just want to finally get something in the books for this and a day trip is a great starting point.

I'd like to go, except May 5th the Jaguar Associates Group has an event. Best not to clash with them.

I’m going to the JAGS event too. The club consists of all models and vintages of Jaguars. They meet at Jaguar Marin usually with another car group and take a nice drive to a winery in Los Gatos. One year, we ran with Ferraris. Last year, we met with MGs. One of the JAGS officers told me there was an underrepresentation (sp?) of FTypes and wanted me to get it out there. He was wondering what type of events the FType owners would like to do. So there, Ftype owners in Northern California, or anywhere else..... look into the Jaguar Associates Group and join!.

As momentum picks up, there can be several 'drives' to get to this. I'll be coming from the Sacramento area, so I'll head to Winters to 128 to 12. I'll set up a meeting point in the Sacramento area. It will take about 2 hours to get there the fun way.

I plan to join up as well. Another item of late April consideration is Kool April Nights in Redding (4/26-30) for those who may be interested. Like Hot August Nights in Reno, but cooler, weather at least. And eeeeek, I'd likely join in your route as the roads from Winters to the Valley of the Moon are splendid for our F's

Good deal. Maybe I can get a few more bicyclists to signal to me to slow down when I'm actually doing the speed limit...

We would plan early, 6.30 or so, to get our own spots... it fills up FAST. It would be so fun. You can tell I am giddy. I love it because my weekends end up busy, and it's over before a lot of people are waking up! =)

Sad to say I am out on Sonoma I think. Regardless of timing always being a challenge, I'm up in Napa and Sonoma a couple times a week, and I need to build a larger wine cellar some weekend. lol
Might check out the Jag club one... I like a bit o fun with multiple types of cars.

This might yet morph into a multi day thing. I could come down the night(day) before, hit a couple of places and then go to cars and coffee the next morning.

I'm in the process of moving from Loomis to Granite Bay (the lines between the two are pretty blurred). I'll be just south of Los Lagos.

eeeeek,

We are in Los Lagos and couldn't be happier with the community. The homes and community, both north and south are equally impressive. Now that we are neighbors, I will keep an eye out for you. At the same time, if you spot a Ammonite R Coupe it's your neighbor!
