O2 sensor error
Hi - got a check engine light on my 2017 F Type SVR yesterday. Pulled the codes - P2276. O2 sensor signal stuck lean bank 2 sensor 3
I know these O2 sensors fail and thought there was an extended coverage (here in USA) for 8 years or 80k miles or something like that? I asked my dealer this morning and they said that's the case on some vehicles but not on mine
Seems odd given it's a common issue. Anyone know the specifics? I thought there was a letter or bulletin from JLR about it a while back
If not covered, how easy to replace? Is it just an unbolt from the exhaust system and where is that specific sensor located? Issue of course is car is so low to ground that it will be hard to access without a lift...

Give 'em hell!
8 year warranty in Canada anyway. So I had them install the new one. Did have a chance to see the CAT after removal and some cells do look to have failed. About $2500 USD to replace with new unit including labor when it was all said and done.
I just had my 2018 F type R in for cat replacement and I was told that the O2 sensors are covered for 8 years 80,000 miles from the in service date. I have replaced my own O2 sensors, because for me, it is more of a PIA to take the car to the dealer than to change a $100.00 O2 sensor. My vehicle has had four of the six sensors changed so far and the right side cat in 36k miles.

not 8 years in Canada…10 years and 15 years depending on engine.
Dealers act like they're paying for these out of their pocket. They should be happy to change it as they should get paid for the part and labor. Jaguar must put them through hell to claim so it must be easier for the dealer to put off the customer.
