Thanks, and yes, I do commute between Montréal and Corpus every year. Corpus has some of the best weather in North America in winter and Montréal is just glorious in Summer. As you can see from the picture, which was taken this morning, if you like large, pristine and peaceful beaches, this is hard to beat.

I can see '..where you are coming from.. ' , : this would cost 5x more in Europe

Would not mind at all to life there, outside the hurricane season..

Where was that picture taken? I don't recognize the building.
There is not a lot of us F-Type in MTL. We should try and meet somewhere next Summer.

Default Kicking off 2019 with the Rrrr!

Happy New Year, folks! Wishing you all a fantastic 2019.
Much love from Connecticut, where the Ammonite grey Jaguar is about to go into hibernation.
BTW, this beast looks just as good even in a gritty garage.

Well. It's not a pretty picture but the 2-3 month hibernation has begun. Cleaned her up, put dryer sheets in the exhausts, over the top of the wheels, in the engine bay and the inside floor, over pressured the tires to 42psi, topped the fluids and addd a fuel stabiliser. Covered with a few extra mouse traps in the area around it. Now all I can do is hope that cursed ground hog in Punxetawny has a stroke or at least calls for an early spring. Sigh.

I decided NOT to hibernate the car, and sofar so good ! Actually came back from the dealer today. Car had an update [MY2019] with latest firmware.
Looks did not change, but it feels a lot faster now...

Went in there for rearview cam not functioning well. Did not engage, no lines, lines on one side only, pop-up PDC and no cam, engaging reverse 5x before cam came up...
On the way back no problems, everything seemed okay.

Hey Dan, glad to hear you're brave enough to take on the elements. Good luck with little snow and clear roads.
Please follow up with a post as to whether or not the issue with your backup camera lines was resolved completely and what the fix was. My MY 2018 has that problem intermittently and the dealer didn't have a fix for it back in June.

Marko, How do you get away with waiting this long before you put your car to sleep? Had to tuck mine away away before Thanksgiving. I am seriously feeling the separation. I have begun thinking about the need for a performance oriented winter rat ( a nice one).

Well it stayed halfway decent down here till recently so I was able to get out a few times. Finally gave up the ghost this week when the forecast started trending much colder. Final straw for me is when I force myself to call the insurance company and "withdraw it from use". While I can always call them at anytime to restore it, it helps keep me in check. I just think of the several hundred $ I save each year as a way to control myself. However I actually think I shed a tear today when I was finished.

OMG... You have an Auto Treadmill in your garage!
Add a large screen TV with winding road footage and it will be a great way to charge your batteries this winter.

What is "winter"? Looks like this for us Californians

Also, I do have a TV! Pretty much playing Obsessed Garage footage in the background most of the time.

If you parked your car like that down here in Corpus, you would probably find it upside down near the dumpster.

Totally. Parked it here just for the picture, at a school, on a Sunday. Never in my life have I have parked in a handicapped spot and walked away. No plans to do so anytime either -- very wrong to park in a disabled spot in my opinion.
