Then just combined them in Photoshop and masked out the light trails past the car. Added some blur to the wheels to depict motion, and my other various photoshop things and ended up with this. I sure appreciate the kind words!!

Cheers
Pretty shot - I wondered why there was white light mixed with the red lights in the back - usually means reverse - that would explain it.

Was trying to determine how many shots were composited - but great shot, great composition.

There is someone with a keen eye for detail.
So what you have essentially noted, is that while the composition appears to show the vehicle screaming in forward motion. It is, in reality, sitting still, in reverse gear, with the driver's foot on the brake.

Makes perfect sense.

Really nice catch!!! As he was in front of me, I missed that he was probably still in reverse. I will get rid of the white light! I originally liked the red as strong as it is because it added a splash of color to the scene, but I think you're right that toning it down is probably a better choice. Thanks for the feedback!

I didn't mean it as any sort of suggestion or even critique - I think it looks fantastic.

Just I do photography and so my reaction is to try and figure out how it is done and noticed the lights then.

I love it - showed it to a few friends as well and they all said it was amazing.

Oh no worries!!!! I'm really glad you mentioned it! I really like getting feedback because a lot of times I miss something, so an extra pair of eyes are ALWAYS welcome! So thanks for mentioning it. And glad you like it. =)

I didn't look carefully enough to see if you added motion blur to the wheels. Might as well go all out, as it's a terrific composite. Nicely done!

I did indeed! Just a little bit as I wanted the blades to still be identifiable. Thanks!

Alexg - that pic you took of your car... It's a great pic. It's what I use to show people if they ask and I don't have my car with me (same config).

Thanks!

New to the forum and Jaguar. Could not be happier with my V8-S.

Default Weekend Club Drive

Forgot to post this last week. Took a club drive to the coast in good company. Folks couldn't stop talking about how the V8 sounded. Apparently I had such great traction I planted on the roof.
