Hey, Brian. Congratulations on acquiring an SVR. I’m sure you’re loving it. Did you ever drive an F-Type R before that one? I’m curious if someone can feel differences with the 75 compared to an R. In any case, congrats and your grey and black color scheme makes it even more unique! =)

Default What Are The Odds?

What are the odds that I should roll into a parking lot in Portland, Maine and see another gorgeous F-Type? In Ultra Blue?

Quite low actually as my dear friend @Ichi Ban invited me to a monthly meeting of the Portland Marine Society (a great group of highly esteemed and accomplished mariners; and everyone knows what an ardent mariner I am) held at Salt Water Grill in South Portland this evening. Food, company, and service was outstanding—it’s been awhile since I had any Newburg preparation; and I also enjoyed my Duck Confit appetizer in the Peking Duck style—with quite a few people admiring the 2 beautiful F-Types parked outside. Our USCG even had one of their brilliant Commanders speaking to the group. Thank you Frank for a splendid evening.

My pleasure Jay. You've been an exceptionally good friend for several years now. It's always good to get together with you, especially when driving our F-Types. Vroom, vroom!

Made some progress over the last few months of ownership: H&R springs, 15mm spacers (rubbed with 20mm in rear) Stage 1 tune, SVR rear wing, interior touches and ran an autocross. Car can be throttle steered, which is not typical of AWD cars.

Default A lovely late afternoon

Installing VAP springs tomorrow - very excited! It's already been over 5 years with this car.... amazing. If anything, I'm more enthralled than ever 😊

I don't notice much difference besides the sound. The R might sound a little better but it's very close. The R is deeper and the SVR sounds a little more screamy. The color is actually a wrap. It's silver in sunlight and grey inside.

Nothing to see here but a clean 2015 V6S F-Type—soon to be 10-years old—parked in front of an unassuming place called The Fisherman’s Net in Brunswick, Maine followed by my dinner last night which was a Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

I love the contrast of the old and the new.

The F-Type is a beautiful car. I remember the first one I saw in person was the day I was dropped the XF I owned off at the dealership for serivice. I had no pre-knowledge of the F-Type coming on the market so I was completely unaware that such a car was being manufacured and just being released onto the market. My initial thoughts were what a stunning car and absolute tribute to the E-Type and that I never expected to see anything so close to the design of the E-Type. It was at that moment that I knew that some day I must have one. I am fortunate enough to be on my second one and will likely never dispose of it.
However, dispite the beauty, class and style of the F-Type the E-Type to my eye is still the more elegant and beautiful design.

Is it just me or do photos two and three perfectly embody what Sir William Lyons states in photo one? It’s alive, wants out, and wants to roar, roam and rule the roads!
