Actually, they worked extremely well. (You may be too young to remember). The car became a quick success. But development of the bespoke front tires fell behind the development and advances for the full size rear tires, causing an imbalance in traction that caused the abandonment of the P34 project after just 2 seasons. Goodyear just wasn't willing to continue massive development on tires to be delivered just to the Tyrell team.
A friend of mine was working for Team Tyrell during Jackie Stewart's time there. It was before I met him and he's gone now so I can't confirm, but I'm pretty sure he was there during the P34 days too. There were a number of interesting concepts around that time, and some interesting cheating too. Also, some not so interesting cheating but, as they say, "that's racing."
Installing PPF on the side sills and side sills on the car this weekend.
Not sure if it's because of the black, but I think the sills really accentuate the rear wheel arch. (FYI - Wheel gap is high since car was jacked onto ramps.
Imagine my surprise, and delight, when I paid a visit to a dear friend in Portland today and discovered that her Range Rover Evoque was still sporting the 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast sticker - courtesy, as were all 3 years of our events, of our very own, the wonderful MBourne, ladies and gentlemen - put there since...last August!
