The last column on my report is a virgin oil sample. Hence the high titanium in all subsequent reports.

 

I'm aware of that, so ignore references to high titanium. I saved a local copy of your virgin sample for my own reference after you posted it.

I suspect that when I had my oil changed early they used Castrol Edge, but not Castrol Edge Professional (Castrol Edge Amateur?) because one sample is noticeably lower in Ti. Interesting, but I'm not concerned.

 

Does anyone else have to top up? My V8s used to give a light puff of smoke on start up (not concerning amount) and used to use about 1 litre per 8k miles and now my new SVR which was run in properly came with half full of oil and now on 1 bar off low after 4k miles is this normal?

 

I've topped off twice in two years. About a quart both times. 20K miles
