Default Oil change frequency

I like to get your input on frequency of oil changes, is it by milage or yearly. Is it every 3k, 5k or 10k miles. I have a 16 S coupe that has driven 3k miles since last oil change in May 22. Your experience is greatly appreciated.

Factory change is once a year or something like 18k miles. I don't put but 4-5k a year on mine and do the oil change every fall before it's put up for the winter, that way the bearings aren't sitting all winter with acidic old oil.

I do mine every 3k miles. Easy and cheap once you have the Mityvac. For ~$150 each time its good peace of mind.

Now I just need to do Diff & coolant & SC Oil change... different story.

Factory schedule is every 12 months or 16,000 miles whichever comes first although I have read of 15,000 miles once or twice.
This is far, far too long for an oil-sensitive engine such as the AJ126 or AJ133, those engines really need much more regular oil changes than that.
The general rule of thumb is twice as often as scheduled so every six months or 8,000 miles whichever comes first, although many recommend every 5,000 miles.

I like to do mine every 5K (of course that was before Covid when I drove to work as I work from home now). I still choose to do it in the middle of yearly included services that are under my Jag factory warranty. It's a really great car and it's worth it to me to spend a little extra to keep her purring.

I usually only drive it like 800 miles annually so I do mine once a year.

Once a year definitely or every 10K miles is a safe schedule.

Thanks for all your inputs. Every year or 5,000 miles seems reasonable to me with my independent mechanic. He will also be doing a full visual and mechanical inspection works for me. I visually inspect fluid levels and any coolant leaks regularly as a routine, I also check my oil level and tire pressure every time before I take my car out of the garage. Very informative and helpful responses I can always count on this forum for answers. Very knowledgeable and active members.

love driving this f type!!! I was at lime rock park for memorial day weekend and Watkins Glen, I saw no f type among the cars at lime rock and saw 2 at Watkins Glen. I expected to see more but then again our jags are exclusive in real world production numbers.
