I'm 7 days into my new V8S f-type. I'm still uncomfortable with not having a dip-stick to independently verify my oil fill level, but according to the on-board computer my oil level remains OK. However, the owner's manual states that above average oil consumption is normal during the initial break-in and with sustained high speeds.


Have any forum members experienced excessive oil consumption in their f-types?


What about the viscosity? Is everyone using the recommended Castrol Edge Professional 5W-20 weight oil? Doesn't climate matter? What about warm climates?
