I live in Cyprus where the temperatures are rarely low, and I wonder how long it takes for the 0W-20 oil to reach normal operating temp?

 

I'd give it at least 10-15 minutes of easy driving before any hard driving. Your coolant will get up to operating temp earlier than your oil.

I usually give it more than 20 minutes of easy driving (up to 2000rpm). If I'm going on a long trip I don't stress the engine on the way there, but on the way back. I know this is overkill and I'll have to bring this window down to a more reasonable level.

 

You'll be fine with 20 minutes. My rule of thumb for the F-Type is 15 minutes warmup time.

 

Seems like someone here used the Torque Pro app with OBD2 to see how long it actually takes for the oil to reach temp.

 

Yep and I think the conclusion was around 12 minutes on average.

 

And what is that sweet spot temp?
