We have quite an age spread. The youngest is 22 (altho we have a 21 year old "because his wife says so" - so does mine!) - The oldest to own up is 72 (that beats me by one year)...

I think it says something about the car. Appeals across the board.

Any advances on 72 years?

Congratulations I think that makes you officially the youngest and, possibly, the luckiest F-Type owner in the world!
The age spread now stands at 20 to 72.

I'm 45. And it took a long time to get here.
Its funny that you mention that. I was getting gas a few days ago and a kid in a first generation Lexus IS300 with a UCLA undergrad license plate frame walks up to me and politely introduces himself and asks me what I do a for living to afford a car like the F-TYPE and what year I graduated cause I look really young. (I was wearing my chucks, basketballs shorts and a t-shirt).

I replied to him that I'm only 34 and never finished school and that it took hard work and dedication to get where I am today. He looked stunned and replied that he was rethinking his school options as he was drowning in student loan debt. He thanks me for chatting with him and we part ways.

Drove a Wrangler for 20 years, picked my F-Type up in Aug 2016 when I was 39. Now I anchor the low-middle at 40. Love seeing 70+ gents tracking this car. I swear I am getting my healthy and young 72 year old dad in one, even if I have to buy it for him.

Also, I looked pretty much like an idiot, or as someone said "drunk and lonely", but in this thread we quickly surmised that the demographic of this car is a buckshot pattern at 15 feet. It is a wiley and randomly different crew of people that own this car. Seriously, it's a funny thread with some interesting tidbits, and in all humility it was fun to watch the kitty's claws come out here and there. Just shows our diversity. There's been threads where politics comes out, and we've had Bernie to Liberterian, right and more. Fun group. =)

Here's the other demographic thread, to boot:

Uncle Fishbits, I can't help wondering if you're related to Uncle Josh.

I'm with you Fishy. Go out and buy your Dad an F-Type (I'da loved my son if he had bought me mine! I love him anyway but you know what I mean...)

I road-tested several cars before choosing the F, including the Audi R8 V10. Audi RS6 Wagon, Porsche Carrera 911(991) and others but decided, for some reason, that a 70 year old just doesn't look right in those cars (except maybe the Audi wagon) and is trying too hard. Ditto, Ferraris and Maseratis. I felt I could definitely get away with it in a cool F-Type. Am I right?

He'll claim *I* am the creepy uncle, but don't trust his subterfuge and ruse. =) He's just "baiting" you.

So this internet forum, which cannot be a proper sampling, scientifically speaking, now has us at a 20 year old to an 80 year old.

In my neck of the woods, at least 50%+ are older female drivers. I know that's crazy, but there's at least 4 in Marin that are older women. I bet they think I am stalking them.

Still, it says *A LOT* about the appeal of the car, coupled with the various options and builds to suit any style. Not to mention our complex socio-political make up. =)

LOVE IT.
