Default One letter higher in the alphabet

Just a quick hello from a new member who appreciates the resources and community provided by forums such as this one. We sold our 1970 S2 E-Type (in need of a clutch & transmission) 2 years ago and have bought a CPO’d 2016 Ftype S AWD Coupe 2 days ago. There is a bit of a learning curve ahead but I’m sure I’ll find all the answers here, when needed. Happy motoring.

"Learning curve" ain't the half of it. (Or are you just referring to checking the oil? HeeHee)

You’re the second person in as many weeks on this forum moving up one notch in the alphabet. Welcome!

Default Thanks Malbec

I love the image you included of the FType family tree progression, and with your blessing I think I’ll save that image and perhaps pin it to my garage workshop wall. Terrific profiles (and how can you beat a glass of Malbec?)

Cheers

It is an interesting progression but we stopped on the C-Type. None were LHD and NONE had the exhaust on the RH side. Thought at first the drawing was reversed but even flipped it is all incorrect.

I remember seeing this photo when the F-Type first came out and being amazed by the size difference.

Default Yes, the size differential is surprising

It was a ride in this early model FType Coupe that had me hooked and the size difference was noticeable. Our neighbour's son-in-law is an automotive writer and took me for a ride and included our EType in his article. Our Series 2 cozied up nicely to the pretty new face on the block.
