Okay, I'm thinking about these wheels from HRE. Brushed Titanium, a matte finish. They also do a Dark Clear, which is a glossy finish. I would go from the 19" Orbits I currently have to these in 20".
I'll try to put links to pictures of them both. Here's what I'm not sure about: my car is Ammonite Grey.
1. I don't want it to be too monotone
2. I'm not sure about matte vs glossy
What think you?

I think it's difficult to say. The 3 piece will stand out regardless. Monotone is a look some try to achieve. Can you see the finishes on a sample, another car or a wheel in person with your car. I think finish is one aspect, hue is another factor. Are the car and wheel both warm colors, cool, or one of each. When your colors are close actual samples needed. The BMW looks better to me in your examples, but it's not how I'd try to choose. Does HRE have metal samples of the finishes?
Based on Madarts photo (shop?) The wheels don't appear to match well in my view, but the OP has to like it. Madarts, I expect this is an actual photo of a correct color car and actual wheel photos clipped from the actual wheel in the brushed finish? If so, probably the best that can be done short of actual in person materials.

I rotated them like that to line up the brake calipers (different position on the Ferrari).
I like them and think they suit well. Always a subjective opinion of course.
So, I like the style; just the color I'm not sure about. On HRE's website, you can see all the options, but I'm not sure how to know what any of them look like in the flesh. I tend to not want anything too monotone; some contrast is nice. I really need to think about this because it's a lot of coin not to be perfect.
