Default P2187 due to catch can?

I recently installed a catch can on my 2024 P450 and have been getting the P2187 and P2189 faults 'System too lean at idle' for both banks 1 and 2. My install is tight and has no leaks. Has anyone experienced this after installing a catch can?

@AZP450 Can you show which hose and where you tapped into? There is a leak somewhere, most likely where you tapped but something may have been jostled during the install.

Here's a nice use of a smoke machine to do what the dealer couldn't (Thanks to Alex Revive on YT):

Thanks JagCode3, I rechecked everything and you were right, the threaded can itself somehow started to loosen. I removed it and found about 1/4" of oil collected in it after only 1000 miles. I cleared the codes, tightened the can and will see what happens. Based on what has been collected so far I don't think the Jag's oil separators are efficient enough. I certainly want to avoid coking up the intake valves.

Had my intakes cleaned when i had the plugs, coolant hoses, etc done. Tech said they were a mess at 67,000km.

@AZP450 That's good news. I am debating doing this and probably will when I pull my SC off to replace the coolant pipes and clean the valves. What unit did you decide on installing? I always wondered if the right side OEM oil separator did a sufficient job.

@Evoex That is my fear (especially after owning an Audi TFSI with a serious carbon deposit issue) - did you install a catch can? I was also considering an oil separator in lieu of a catch can.

A big thank you and Shout-Out again to @HermanWiegman @Onca Engineering for his great videos and expertise on this forum!
