I've seen, here, I think, a comment that Lucas was fully capable of producing quality, reliable electrics. The reputation for low quality was attributed to the low spec "built to a price" components desired by some manufacturers to keep costs as low as possible.

Just a sidenote and personal opinion-not all Chinese products are garbage. I bought my son a 50cc quad years ago and the motor was a Chinese clone of the Honda 50cc motor. Ran amazing and never an issue.

Default If there is a quality control inspector

The representative from either United States or Europe is there to inspect there should not be a problem.

I guess the question I'm asking is, is it worth putting such parts made in China / Asia on to your Jaguar F-Type. You have to get it installed then you try it out maybe it works maybe there's failure and the part isn't how it should be or even worse it just completely breaks down due to substandard quality control and use of possibly low-grade raw material. Then you have to deal with that. Bring it back to the shop have it removed and find a secondary solution to resolve the problem. So I guess it boils down to is it worth the risk of taking that chance.
At least for my car, I try my best to put only premium quality auto parts whatever it may be onto my vehicle.

Quality is up to the vendor and price will reflect it.. Buy from a reputable vendor and you are good, no matter where they choose to get the part manufactured. Saying all products made in China is bad is quite funny. Now buying products made in the USA because you’re patriotic and keep jobs locally, etc, that I can understand and support.

Default I appreciate everyone's input

As I previously stated, the boils down to individual choices.
Example, I have a 2017 F-Type R sports car. It has the following aftermarket parts.

1. Eventuri cold air intake system, made in the UK

2. Piecha rear GT wing spoiler, made in Austria

3. Arden front lip spoiler, made in Germany.

4. StopTech drilled & slotted rotors on all fours, made in California.

5. Full exhaust system from SuperSprint Italy.

For me it's very important to know where the product originated from.
Thank you.

So to make sure I understand you, if Eventuri made their cold air intake system in China with the same quality, you would choose to buy a different system/vendor.

Craaaazzy......

I know as a matter of fact the CAI system is made in-house by Eventuri. I'm not kidding when I say the cold air intake system is almost a work of art because it is absolutely perfect in appearance and quality.
Thus, it comes at a premium price.

The quality and craftsmanship and the detail of this product is truly perfection.

Personally, I don't care where a product is made, I only care that it is fit for purpose and that the seller has "got my back" if there's a problem. I also rarely like being a guinea pig, so I will tend to wait and read other peoples' experiences with a part and the supplier before I choose to open my wallet.

Back on topic, there's only just over a day left to find out what this new Paramount package is going to consist of

We'll have some announcements fairly soon. We've been working on the drivetrain program for a copule of years now, and have been testing the 2300 for close to a year. None of these things are the type of stuff you want to slap on a car, run for a couple of weeks and bring them to market without a lot of R&D and testing.

There are 20 x 2300 blowers currently on a boat somewhere between Australia & Canada
