Don't know if anyone from JLR Australia ever checks here, but if you do your F-Type parts availability in Australia is just not good enough, it is not a high volume car, but there are now enough here that you need to be stocking a reasonable amount of parts.

Some examples.
- had a minor front end bingle and the car was off the road for three weeks while waiting for parts to arrive from the UK.
- took car for a service which required spark plugs, dealer couldn't find a set available in Australia and I have to bring it back a second time
- battery tested faulty, only battery available for the car in Australia is in Melbourne and has to be road freighted to Sydney so another unnecessary visit to dealer
- I have a rattle HP fuel pump, needs sports to come from UK, will be a couple of weeks.

I love the car and luckily so far apart from the body work I have been able to keep the car on the road but it is bloody annoying to have to take the time out over and over again for unnecessary trips to the dealer because JLRA is not keeping the appropriate level of stock in the country.

 

I don't think anyone from JLRA checks in here.

I've had my ups and downs with the locals, a couple of times i've been burnt, and a couple of times they went out of their way to help me out. Swings and roundabouts.

WTF at the spark plugs, they are a commodity item and also used on the Land Rovers with the same engine... so that's really poor they had no stock. And the battery... really? A battery?

In saying that I bought a genuine battery from the local JLR parts place in Sydney (no need to name names) and the one that turned up was 5 years old! Needless to say it was returned with a full refund...
