Passenger Door not opening anymore
Hi everyone,
I finally got my F-Type and I really really love it
. And it was a pleasure to drive it in Italy through the hills. But our relationship has a bit of a hard time since the passenger door decided to stay locked during the holiday (after week two and with two people this kinda sucks).
I got an appointment with my local dealer next week but still having the door completely fail is kinda strange ... Neither outside or inside door handle do anything at all anymore and the locked sign keeps shining in bright orange for this door.
After looking at it the dealer said it's most likely that the whole lock failed and needs to be replaced, I hope Jaguar Approved covers this ...
Did anyone of you have the same problem? And have an estimate of how much this will cost? Or does anyone know if the extended warranty does cover such stuff?
Thanks!

It seems that many of these types of electrical malfunctions can be resolved by rebooting the car (disconnecting the battery for 15+ seconds)
^^^ yes this, anytime it does something "stupid" a battery cable pull is the first thing i do, only downfall is after it will run a little odd (Less power, less exhaust pops) for a few miles.
