Default Passenger seat issues

My passenger sear appears to be stuck in terms of travel distance - it moves an inch forward before it hits a "stop" and automatically goes back.

Although this is part of the design, the issue is the seat only moves 1 inch forward off the back stop. Whilst this isn't normally something I'd worry about, I'm trying to access the locking solenoid beneath the tunnel cubby box and there are a pair of T30 bolts by the side of the seat.

Both seats are as far forward as the button press will allow. You can see the driver's seat fixing bolts, but there's no chance with the passenger seat. Any ideas?

I don't want to state the obvious, but did you check under the seat for any obstructions blocking the path of travel for the seat?

No question is a bad question even if it's obvious as not everything is obvious to everyone.

In my case, the rails are clear of obstruction. It was my first check prior to researching the issue (which appears to be virtually non-existent) before posting here.

Pulling the seat is the easiest way, captain obvious hear, but either a seat track obstructed or sensor is obstructed or faulty.

I did find someone else posted a similar if not identical fault on ftypeforums, without a solution. At least not one confirmed on the thread.

My guess is a sensor is at fault as the track is unobstructed. Trying to manually move an electrically operated seat is near impossible.

Once I've rebuilt the interior, I'll put my iCarsoft tool on the OBD port and see if any DTCs come up. The potential chair sensor fault is a secondary issue discovered whilst working my way to the center console storage box locking solenoid - the seat blocks a pair of T30 bolts making it tricky to get any combination of tools onto the heads.
