Default Pedal Feel Too Light?

Hi all,

New F-Type owner here, I recently finally picked up my new 2018 V6 F-Type (yay) but haven't had much time with it since I'm shipping it from the other side of the country. I did get a quick trip around the block before having to attend to other things but one thing I noticed was that both the brake and gas pedals feel quite light? Now I wasn't able to give it a proper test drive at all and I'll have a much better idea in a couple weeks' time when it's delivered but I just thought to ask for your thoughts anyway - is this normal for the F-Type or something to look into? For reference, I currently drive a Lexus IS and have driven the BMW M5 and Audi TTRS and I quite like a heavier pedal feel as it gives me more feedback and throttle/brake attenuation IMO.

As an aside - rather bummed to find that the gas pedal is hanging rather than floor-mounted, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Not sure about your throttle response/pedal feel but if you mean you have a spongy brake pedal I would look into that further.

I too like a little more pedal effort than seems to be normal these days, but my previous car was even lighter. I do have a brief moment of adjustment going back and forth with my '91 Miata, but I settle quickly.

I wouldn't characterize it as spongy, but rather the amount of pedal resistance or force needed to depress the pedals is less than I'd prefer haha. In my short time driving I do believe there's a proportionate braking/throttle response to pedal distance traveled so it's not a spongy feeling.

That's good - at least you know air in the brakes is not an issue.
