When I spoke to the rep back in Sept, he told me that they would publish the 2015 schedule sometime in January for classes after Sonoma. He did mention they were trying to get Las Vegas back on the schedule but it depended on track availability.

FWIW, the AMG driving academy published their schedule today and they have sessions at COTA in May, June and December. I'm thinking of going to the pro session @ COTA in Dec because their May session is at the same time I'll be at a conference in Chicago.

you're probably right that they will publish a 2015-2016 schedule soon, because right now the 2014-2015 schedule ends in February.

If you do go to the AMG academy get a photo like this

That would be funny but I don't think I'll be driving to Austin from SoCal.

I've been to the AMG academy @ Laguna Seca several times in the last few years, which is where I think you took that photo :-)

Yup, was at Laguna Seca for another event but they still had the AMG setup up. Also think they were doing some special thing for the AMG GT because about 30 of them were seen around in the Bay Area.

On my first trip to Sonoma Raceway (previously known as Infineon), I had my Pantera and the track was wet, a potentially deadly combination. After riding with my instructor in a 145hp 1975 Porsche, he spun it around on the very first turn of the first lap. I spun the Pantera twice on the second lap, and I vowed never to bring it to Sonoma again as the track is wet a lot of the time. I was fortunate that where I spun there was some infield grass because in most places those infamous walls are all too close.

So this is perfect, will be in someone else's car

Shift: I took delivery of my R in December. Will Jaguar mail me a complimentary Level 1 certificate or do I obtain it from my dealer? I have not received anything yet and when I went to view the registration for the level 1 course it asked if I had a complementary code number.

I got my code via email about a month after I got my car.

I emailed my dealer and after that Jaguar sent me the code via email. Then 3 months passed and Jaguar sent me a letter with the code and brochure. I would just call Jaguar and give them your VIN to get it sooner than later.

Is the complimentary code available to us V6 buyers, or just for the V8?

To date, it's just been for V8 buyers.

It's only the R models. The V8S don't get it as well.

That's what I thought, initially, but wasn't sure.
