Default Plastic Scratch Removal?

The plastic face of the information center between the speedo and tach has fine scratches that I failed to notice until a couple months ago--and now I can't not see them when the sunlight shines on them at just the right angle! Does anyone know if the scratches can be polished out with a rotary tool such as a Dremel, or if the display face/cover can be treated with a liquid product or perhaps be replaced?

I have/had the exact same problem and found that Meguiar's PlastX does a pretty good job of polishing out the scratches (with a MF cloth).
But it's hard to get in there (as you probably know!) so it needs a helluva lot of elbow grease.

I think there was a thread on this on the XF forum (or maybe this one awhile back). I believe they are clear coated and you can buff them out like the exterior clear coat, but I wouldn't try it without some previous experience from someone (like OzXFR) who's had some success.

I suspect you are talking about something else as I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about the info panel in between the tacho and speedo which I am fairly sure is not coated with anything and it is odds on to be plastic but it could be glass.
The OP's post inspired me to clean mine again with PlastX just now and it came up like new!
