Default Powered tailgate.

The Powered tailgate on my car has decided to stop working when half way up, I have to manually push it up the rest of the way ( oh the shame ) but when I press the button it comes back down on its own, any ideas ? thanks Stuart from the UK.

Stuart,

I know there is a way to adjust the height of the power tailgate for cars that park in garages so they don't hit certain things. Maybe, you some how set it at that height since it works on the way down. I'm sure one of the more experienced guys on here may know more or be able to troubleshoot better with you. Good Luck

Default Reset

I think what needs to be done is as follows

Open tailgate
Move manually to fully open position
Press close button for 10 secs

There is a video from jaguar USA on line that shows how to set. Go jaguar USA user guides

To set it to any height its the same, open tailgate, once open move manually to desired position and wait a few seconds then hold close button for 10 secs
