Default PPF gloss or matte?

I have a 2017 F-type R convertible that is glacier white. I'm booked for a full body PPF installation and am torn between gloss, but then someone put in my head to consider matte.
Anyone have any pictures of a white with matte PPF? Opinions?

If you go matte, you would need to PPF the entire car where normal PPF is often done just on the front. The price difference is substancial.

I had PPF on the entire front of my car. The front fender got scratched up and I just pulled off the PPF which, fortunately, stopped all the scratches. You could not tell the difference. With matte, I would have had to immediately get the panel redone. The good places usually book out weeks in advance.

Just something to think about from a practical standpoint.

My car is Polaris White the car had a lifetime ceramic treatment and XPEL PPF on the front half in the winter of 2018/2019. Because it is a bright white color it is obvious that the XPEL is turning a little yellow over time.

I should have also mentioned that the XPEL has done a remarkable job deflecting rocks thrown up on the highways in the Chicago area over the last seven years. I would have had some serious chips and dings otherwise.

Good points. FWIW, I'm doing the whole car in PPF with ceramic on top. Also doing the windshield protective film. Going with Pure vs Xpel as longer warranty, better UV protection so less yellowing

booked on November 11, to get the best installers
