Project Predator - Thoughts?
Thoughts on this...?
This is the world?s most powerful* Jaguar F-Type | Top Gear
"The Jaguar F-Type is not slow. As an SVR it has 567bhp, a 200mph-plus top speed and a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds. Fast, we’re sure you’ll agree.
But not fast enough for Warwickshire-based tuner VIP Design, which claims its ‘Project Predator’ is the world’s most powerful Jaguar F-Type.
How much power? A wholesome 650bhp, which makes the Predator good for an annoyingly unspecific “200mph-plus” top speed, like JLR’s own SVR. VIP tells us it’s testing the 0-60mph time this week. The kit, which can be fitted to rear- and all-wheel drive F-Types, costs from £12,600 – atop the car’s RRP, obviously – and features many go-faster bits. As well as new high-flow air filters, there’s a new pulley and more boost for the supercharger, plus a software upgrade for the F-Type’s brain.
A new exhaust – with ‘loud’ and ‘really loud’ modes – liberates more noise from the already noisy 5.0-litre V8. VIP has also dropped the suspension by 30mm, and added stronger joints and rubbers to “transform the handling” of the standard car.
Visual modifications include carbon bonnet vents, a carbon splitter at the front and rear, as well as a carbon diffuser. You can also specify fancy wheels and tinted windows.
Fancy it?"
