Yep, that's a great little mod. There's also a version with the growler and the current Jaguar font;
The one with the leaper has the old pre-2013 font which wouldn't work with my OCD.
Ordered a set of the growler version and popped in some other LEDs there for now which also makes an incredible difference compared to the yellow weak little stock lights.
So the long term test drive of these growler puddle lights is that all of the color fades away after 2 years. They look like **** now.
Yep, I have bought two sets of the growler ones with red colouring and with both sets the colouring faded away completely inside of a couple of months not a couple of years!
Mine are still going as good a new after 12 months. Not sure if because different manufacturers or if because it is just a burn out phenomenon depending on how long you leave your doors open and how long or hot the lens heats up for

And I rarely leave the doors open for any length of time, I reckon it is down to simply being "cheap and nasty".

Wow that one that Borbor posted looks really good. Perhaps it is because it uses a laser projector rather than an LED ? Or at least it says so in the description.
I tried the Ali Express link and description and came up with something like 215 results. Can you pin it down a little more for us ? I see that some say in the description that they require AAA batteries or attach to the bottom of the door with double sided tape, and I'm sure everyone would prefer the type that just replaces the factory light and is a plug & play design.

I found a couple on ebay that feature the Growler. They claim to use a laser and don't look like just an LED shining through a lens with the logo. They both offer free shipping from China
Quite a bit more expensive than Aliexpress vendors but I suppose there is something to be said for the protection that buying on ebay with Paypal in case there are any problems. In either case we aren't talking about a lot of money.

Dwight those links look to be similar to the ones that fade so be careful.
Most times ebay is just a different electronic shopfront for the same product from the same vendors on aliexpress. Only benefit is choosing local seller that has local stock so delivery is quick but you pay an extra middle man margin for the service for the same product. Aliexpress accepts PAYPAL now too
